A Single Purpose

Meditation is a beautiful thing — but it's hard. When you struggle to still the mind for mere seconds, it can be very frustrating. Seems my life mirrors my meditation practice in that it's very scattered. In my search for inspiration I found this quote that I love.

"The first thing necessary for Yoga is concentration of purpose. You have so many aims, so many purposes, that you are frittering away your little stock of energy in the attempt to accomplish them all. You are pursuing so many objects not because they are pleasant or profitable in themselves, but because you have neither found out the highest good of your life nor have you trained your will to realize it."

New YogaDudes Tank Tops Have Arrived

As promised the new YogaDudes black tank tops have arrived and are now for sale in our shop. Thanks to all of those who voted on the design. As it turns out, we decided to go with a slight variation on the "sitting dude" design. The YogaDude in sitting Namaste pose has been slightly reduced and the the slogan at the bottom has been replaced with the simple YogaDudes name.

These shirts are 100% cotton and they are long and stretchy. They adhere to normal misses sizes and run larger than our pink racer-backs.

A Word About the YogaDudes Blog

I would just like to explain the new temporary state of the YogaDudes blog. The blog has become, and for the next next 8 weeks will continue to be, a work-out journal. Let me explain . . I have committed myself to doing an intense work-out called P90X and I'm using the YogaDudes blog to log my progress. It's not completely un-yoga, as the toughest part of the whole routine (so far) has been yoga. Once I'm done with these 90 days of workout torture, the YogaDudes blog will be back to the usual yogi-related topics. If you are at all interested in the P90X work-out, I invite you to join me on my wild ride.
