The groundhog may have been right last month because winter is hanging on with all its might in New England. Soon the clocks will spring ahead and no matter what the temps outside, the extra daylight will be so refreshing. YogaDudes Give Aways And congratulations to Gena Bean from Cambridge, MA for her winning inspirational comment from last month’s contest. When I asked for inspiration on why I should become a certified yoga instructor, this is what she said:
Gena received a free YogaDudes tank top for giving me the push that I needed to keep moving along. Thank you Gena! My Yoga Teacher Training Update So far I’ve completed the first two phases of my yoga teaching certification. This entailed reading a couple of very interesting text books, answering a 50 question final exam, and writing an essay on yoga and how it relates to health issues. At this point in time I’m studying Anatomy for Yoga, Meditation, and the Chakras. I’m finding all this to be a blast and really enjoying the studying. But the next, and final, part is terrifying me. I have to plan out my very first one-hour class and lead a couple students through it in order to obtain my certification. This is posing quite the challenge for me, but I just need to focus and breathe deeply. Some how I will come up with the perfect lesson plan . . .
